Setup & Installation
Find the “Affiliates by Monto” app in the app store and click Install.
In the Monto app, go to the Settings > Options page in the bottom left menu. Here you can upload your shop’s logo which will appear in your affiliate emails. You can also set your custom subdomain which is used for the affiliate portal.
In the Affiliates app Configure page, you can set your default order commission rate (either % of order or flat amount), choose whether to turn all customers into affiliates, your conversion window cutoff, and more.
In the Overview page, you can invite people to join your affiliate program (You can set a custom commission rate for each affiliate and customize their tag if desired). We’ll send invites out to the people you add with a link to their portal and their custom referral link.
Use the Monto Affiliate Widget to add an affiliate signup form popup directly on your site!

Common Questions
How are affiliate commissions calculated?
The commission is calculated including discounts and excluding shipping and tax.
As a merchant, you're able to define a store-wide default commission rate as well as custom-define a rate for an individual affiliate. You can read more about those settings here.
How do refunds and returns affect affiliate commissions?
If an order is refunded, then the commission for that order is removed from the affiliate’s balance.
How do I use a coupon code to credit affiliates with an order?
How do I track form submissions from affiliate referrals?
Do affiliate URLs work with Bitly and other URL shorteners?
Yes! Monto's affiliate URLs will work with bitly.com and other URL shorteners. This is because URL shorteners (all the ones that we've tested) do not actually mask the final URL, but instead simply forward users to the URL you shortened.
Do affiliate URLs work with UTM's?
Yes! Monto's affiliate URLs will work just fine with UTMs added into the URL. You'll just need to ensure there is an "&" separating the affiliate URL from the UTMs.
Can you create an affiliate link to a specific product or page?
Yes! You can link to any page or product on your website using Monto's affiliate link app. Simply find an affiliate's URL tag in the affiliates tab by clicking on their profile. All you need to do is add this tag to the end of the desired URL of your site.
How do I automatically add new customers as affiliates?

Set your preferred conversion window
