Monto Shipping Info Options Explained
Monto Shipping Info Options Explained

and how it connects to the Customer Portal "Track" Button

Updated over 4 months ago

When fulfilling an order in Monto, you have the option to fill in the Shipping Provider, Tracking Number, and/or Tracking URL (depending on your platform). This information is not required in order for the order to be fulfilled. Multiple or all of the fields can be filled in or left blank.

Order Shipment Email

Upon fulfilling the order, we send this shipping information to your Ecommerce platform, such as Webflow or Foxy, which emails it to your customer.

The order fulfillment email does not actually come from Monto so be sure you have customized your email preferences in your Ecommerce platform itself.

The shipping information above is optional. If it is not entered, the fulfillment email will still be sent by your platform, but will not include any tracking information.

Tracking Orders in the Customer Portal

If you are using Monto's Customer Portal app, your customers can also see this information on their dashboard for each order!

  • If no shipping information is added to an order, the "Track" button will not be displayed.

  • If only the tracking number is added (without the URL), we will send the user to a 17track.net page which shows them the package location and estimated delivery

  • If a tracking URL is specified, we will send them directly to that URL

Note: Please enter the full URL in the tracking URL including https:// otherwise it will cause an error

Example of the 17track page a customer would see if only a tracking number is entered:
