What does each order status mean in the Orders page?

The order statuses on the orders page should mirror your order statuses in your Ecommerce backend (such as Webflow, Duda, BigCommerce etc.). So if you change a status in Monto or your Ecom backend it should be reflected in the other.

One thing to note: Monto only uses 3 statuses, but some platforms use many more options. In this case, we've consolidated and mapped these extra statuses to fit our 3 categories for simplification.

Unfulfilled

  • This is the default automatic status that is used for all orders after being placed by the customer

Fulfilled

  • This is a manual status that is typically used when a shop has shipped an order to the customer.

  • Marking an item as shipped or fulfilled in your ecommerce platform will change your Monto order to "Fulfilled"

Refunded

  • This is an automatic status that will be applied to an order which has been either partially or fully refunded to the customer

Foxy Order Statuses

Foxy handles order statuses slightly differently to most other platforms. Instead of the status signifying whether the order has been shipped, Foxy statuses are used to signify whether the order has been paid. Therefore, Monto statuses do not sync with Foxy and vice versa.

All Foxy orders will be set to Unfulfilled by default and you can then click into an order in Monto and set it to be Fulfilled once you've shipped it.

Adding tracking info to a fulfilled order will only store that information in Monto and will not send an email to your customers.

You can also choose to hide all Foxy statuses by going to Settings > Site Data and enabling the Hide Order Statuses toggle.
