How to set up manual & automatic coupons in redemption options

When creating a coupon redemption option in the Loyalty Rewards app in Monto, you have the option to choose either "Manual" or "Automatic".

Manual: You must first create a coupon in your ecommerce platform and then paste it into Monto. All customers will use the same coupon which can be used multiple times.

Automatic: Monto creates your coupon for you in your ecommerce platform and generates a new code every time a customer redeems points for the coupon. All customers get a unique code that can only be used once.

Note: Automatic coupons are currently only available for sites using Foxy as Webflow's API doesn't allow for coupon creation.

Creating Manual Coupons

(Only recommended for Webflow Ecommerce sites)

First go to your Webflow Ecommerce tab > Discounts. Click 'Create New Discount' button.

Give it a name, a code, set the discount amount, etc.

Under Restrictions, be sure to select "Unlimited" for Total Usage Limit and Limit Uses per Customer.

Otherwise, multiple customers won't be able to use the coupon when they redeem it and a customer redeeming the same coupon multiple times will not be able to use it but once.

Copy the Coupon code and click Create.

In your Monto redemption option, paste in the code where it says "Coupon Code"

Creating Automatic Coupons

(Only enabled for Foxy Cart sites)

In Monto when editing a redemption option, simply select "Automatic" under the Method dropdown.

Then choose the coupon type: Flat, Percentage, or Free Shipping
And the coupon value.

Be sure that the "Name" you choose for your redemption option is unique as this is used in Foxy as the coupon name. You cannot have another coupon already with the same name. Here we've used the name "$5 Off Coupon"

When we save the redemption option, Monto will create that coupon in Foxy called "$5 Off Coupon". Whenever a customer redeems that option, we generate a new code in Foxy unique to that customer. You can see all codes and transactions associated with a coupon in Foxy.
