When you add the Loyalty Rewards app to your site, by default all of the Ways to Earn are turned off so that customers don't start receiving points before you're able to set them up.
To setup the Ways to Earn, simply click "Edit Settings" on each method and edit the point values. Once you're ready to turn them on, be sure to click the toggle in the top right of each option to make it green!
Orders
Points: By default, orders are set to earn 1 point for every $1 the customer spends. This can be changed as desired.
Note: This amount spent is the order subtotal minus discounts (and doesn't include shipping or taxes). Learn more here.
Timeframe: You can have these points given out immediately after purchase or you can have it delayed until the order is fulfilled.
Referrals
Points: By default, we have referrals set to earn 1 points for every $1 the customer spends. This can be changed as desired.
Note: The customer will also earn points for this order. So keep that in mind when valuing your earning and redeeming options.
Timeframe: You can have these points given out immediately after purchase or you can have it delayed until the order is fulfilled.
Reviews
Points: By default, we have reviews set to earn 10 points each. This can be changed as desired.
Parameters: You can allow points to be earned for each review, for the 1st review only, or for 1st review by product.
Verified Reviews: You also have the option to only award points for verified reviews.
Verified reviews are ones that come from call to review emails or customer portal links.
Social Media Follows
Points: By default, we have follows set to earn 5 points each. This can be changed as desired.
Note: Points are awarded as soon as the customer clicks on the social media profile link. We do not track if they actually follow you or not (feature coming soon)
Parameters: You can allow points to be earned for each platform followed or only the first one
Birthdays
Points: By default, we have birthdays set to earn 10 points each year. This can be changed as desired.
Note: Customers must first enter their birthday in their profile in the Loyalty Portal. This cannot be changed once it has been entered
Point Delay: Delay points if the birthday a customer enters is less than 30 days away. This is used to help prevent people from entering tomorrow's date as their birthday in order to get points faster. This feature will grant the customer their points after the 30 day period.
Example: If today is January 1
A customer enters their birthday as January 2, they will receive their points 30 days from today – Jan 31 (29 days after their entered birthday)
A customer enters their birthday as January 30, they will still receive their points 30 days from today – Jan 31 (1 day after their entered birthday)
A customer enters their birthday as February 1, they will receive their points on February 1 (their birthday)
Once you're ready to turn them all on, be sure to click the toggle in the top right of each option to make it green!
