If you see a long list of canceled subscriptions for a renewing subscription in Stripe, this means that your customer's subscription is likely active, but currently paused.
When a subscription is paused, Stripe still creates the invoices and payments each period, but cancels them to prevent any monetary collection. These canceled payments mean no payment is being collected from your customers and no corresponding order will be created in Monto.
How to Fix?
Go to Monto's Subscriptions tab and search for your customer's email address to find their subscription.
Find the paused subscription and either cancel it or resume subscription.
